1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using STEMEngine AI ("the Service"), operated at stemengine.ai, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

STEMEngine AI is an AI-powered lesson planning platform for secondary math and science educators. The Service generates lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials based on user-provided parameters.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Each account is for individual use unless covered by an institutional license. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

4. Permitted Use

Content generated through STEMEngine AI is licensed for your personal, non-commercial educational use. You may:

  • Use generated materials in your own classroom instruction
  • Share materials with students enrolled in your courses
  • Share materials with colleagues within your school or district for collaborative planning
  • Adapt and modify generated materials for your educational needs

5. Prohibited Use — Commercial Resale

You may NOT sell, license, sublicense, distribute for profit, or otherwise commercially exploit materials generated by STEMEngine AI. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Listing or selling generated lessons, assessments, or worksheets on Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT), Gumroad, Etsy, or any other marketplace
  • Packaging generated content into paid curriculum bundles, courses, or digital products
  • Using automated tools or scripts to bulk-generate content for resale
  • Reselling or redistributing content under your own brand without attribution to STEMEngine AI
  • Creating derivative commercial products based substantially on STEMEngine AI output

6. Usage Limits

To ensure fair access and service quality for all educators:

  • Free accounts: Limited to 5 lesson generations per calendar month.
  • Pro accounts: Limited to 50 lesson generations per calendar month. Daily velocity throttling may apply after high-volume usage.
  • Institutional licenses: Subject to terms negotiated with your school or district.

Attempts to circumvent these limits (e.g., creating multiple accounts, using automated tools) constitute a violation of these Terms.

7. Attribution

All materials generated by STEMEngine AI include a "Generated with STEMEngine AI" attribution. You may not remove, alter, or obscure this attribution from printed or exported materials.

8. Public Lesson Library & Contributor License

STEMEngine AI may operate a public Lesson Library where selected lessons are made viewable to others. If you choose to publish a lesson to the public Library, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to share the lesson and that it does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
  • The lesson does not contain confidential student information, personally identifiable information, or any content that is unlawful, offensive, or inappropriate for an educational setting.
  • You grant STEMEngine AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute the published lesson within the Service and in related promotional materials.
  • Publishing is optional and you may request removal of a lesson you published at any time by contacting us.

Author attribution in the public Library is anonymous by default. You may optionally provide a display name to be shown alongside lessons you publish. This contributor license does not transfer ownership of your underlying lesson content to STEMEngine AI.

9. Content Accuracy

STEMEngine AI uses AI to generate educational content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing all generated materials before using them with students. STEMEngine AI is not liable for inaccuracies in generated content.

10. Enforcement

Violation of these Terms, particularly the commercial resale prohibition, may result in immediate account termination without refund. We reserve the right to pursue legal remedies, including DMCA takedown requests against infringing content found on third-party marketplaces.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
