Lesson Overview
Students progress from dividing 2-digit dividends by 1-digit divisors using partial quotients and area models, up to dividing 4-digit dividends with remainders and making contextual decisions about how to interpret those remainders in a fleet logistics scenario.
Materials
- Vertical whiteboards or large chart paper (one per group of 3)
- Dry-erase markers (multiple colors per group)
- Erasers or paper towels
- Random grouping cards
- Printed consolidation note sheets (one per student)
- Pencils
