Lesson Overview
Students crack a series of increasingly complex pattern-rule challenges to escape a locked vault, progressing from identifying simple addition rules to writing and applying multi-step algebraic rules using input/output tables.
Materials
- Vertical whiteboards or chart paper
- Dry-erase markers (multiple colors)
- Random grouping tool
- Escape Room envelope set (one per group, containing 7 clue cards)
- Decoder sheet (one per student)
- Timer display
